![]() There's a lot going on in Altar Valley. Our District News page will give you a taste of why we are so proud of our students, our teachers, and our community. Special Programs Override Election On Tuesday, November 2, a special election will be held in the Altar Valley Elementary School District. Registered voters will have the opportunity to help decide an important financial matter for the school district. Altar Valley Elementary District will ask the district's registered voters to authorize a 5% Maintenance and Operations Override to fund special programs for students in preschool through eighth grade. For more information, please read our special programs pamphlet or read our frequently asked questions. New Family Resource Rooms This year there is something new at our schools. We have created new Family Resource Rooms at Robles Elementary and Altar Valley Middle School. At Robles it is the room between the Library and the Computer Lab in the East Building. At the middle school it is Room 5 in the building behind the Front Office. Beginning September 7th, Tuesday nights are Family Workshop Nights. These events run from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and are both fun and informative. For more information, click on the appropriate links below. Altar Valley Sheds NCLB Improvement Process Status Altar Valley School District is the first school district in Arizona within the NCLB improvement process removed from improvement status due to two consecutive years of student achievement. The belief that every child can achieve excellence is the foundation of this accomplishment. Through high expectations, accountability, working with the community, and the conviction that “this can be done”, Altar Valley students, teachers, parents, and staff have created a caring and compassionate learning community focused on student success. Altar Valley knows that this accomplishment is not just meeting a state standard, but a step in the process of moving forward. Read more>>> Congratulations!
