Robles Elementary All-Star Student of the Month
Dereck Romero Ramos
Derrick is a shining example of the ROAR values at Robles. He is always respectful to himself and others, carrying himself with kindness and humility. His positive attitude brightens the classroom, and he often helps guide his peers to listen and make good choices. Derrick never needs to be asked twice to complete his work—he listens attentively, puts in his best effort, and works hard to earn good grades. In addition to being a dedicated student, Derrick shows his kindness in simple but meaningful ways—offering to carry things, holding doors for others, and being a friend to everyone. Though he is shy, he leads by example with his respectful behavior, responsibility, and consistent willingness to help. Derrick’s gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and positive influence make him a truly deserving Student of the Month.
Robles Elementary All-Star Employee of the Month
Mr. Mark Yap
This month we are proud to recognize Mr. Mark Yap as our Staff of the Month! Mr. Yap goes above and beyond each day to support our students and staff in countless ways. He has stepped in to cover PE classes, supported 3rd grade during a teacher’s leave, and taken on extra lunch duties—always with a calm and flexible attitude. Whenever he sees a need, he is the first to step up and help.
Mr. Yap not only encourages students in their academics by learning new ways to support them in math, but he also inspires them through sports and teamwork. He coaches soccer at the middle school level and brings that same energy to Robles, where he encourages students to play and have fun at recess. His dedication to building positive relationships shows in his kindness, respect, and encouragement of all students.
Whether it’s helping in classrooms, supporting recess, or ensuring that every student safely gets on the bus at the end of the day, Mr. Yap is an essential part of our school community. We are grateful for his commitment, flexibility, and the positive impact he makes every day at Robles.
